I founded Local Focus in 2022 to support local nonprofits and small businesses through strategic marketing, fundraising, event planning, and community engagement. With over 20 years of experience living and working in Arlington, I bring a deep understanding of the local landscape and a strong commitment to community impact.

Before launching Local Focus, I spent 15 years as a full-time volunteer, serving in numerous PTA leadership roles, acting as the Arlington Event Lead for Moms Demand Action, and spearheading community initiatives. One such effort, Project Headphones, raised over $125,000 in just two weeks to ensure every Arlington Public Schools student had the tools they needed for virtual learning during the pandemic. That experience reinforced my belief in the power of local collaboration and inspired me to formalize my work through Local Focus.

Since its founding, I’ve partnered with organizations including Doorways, PathForward, Phoenix Bikes, The Arlington Turkey Trot, The United Church of Christ Media Justice Ministry, and Stapel to elevate their missions through thoughtful strategy and hands-on implementation.

My work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins at the community level. I specialize in helping mission-driven organizations grow their visibility, strengthen their messaging, and build sustainable campaigns to support long-term goals.

In addition to my client work, I serve on the Wolf Trap Associates Board, the Yorktown Civic Association, and Arlington Public Schools’ ACTL EdTech Group, where I remain actively engaged in shaping and supporting local initiatives.
